Robin Parrish – The Stephen King of Christianity

July 24th, 2013 by

Stephen King is a pretty household name these days. His books are everywhere and continue to entertain and, just recently, it was confirmed – according to sites and vendors like – that there was going to be a television adaptation to one of his best-sellers “Under the Dome.” However, there’s a new name in the world of Christian fiction that has been steadily climbing the ranks, as well – Robin Parrish.

Parrish has written a number of popular books for Christians, but one of the big things that sets him apart from the rest is that his books are not, necessarily JUST for Christians. They are written in a strikingly accessible fashion that allows for multitudes of different people to read and enjoy. They also cover a number of topics you might not expect.

Offworld, one of his greatest works, was a standalone novel taking place in a semi-contemporary future. A group of astronauts return to Earth after a manned mission to Mars only to discover that everyone has vanished. It’s a brilliant premise highly evocative of the kinds of high-concept plots King has been known for.

You should certainly check out Parrish’s work if you’re in the market for something a little different.
